Penguins split swim meets The Chapel Hill Tennis Club swim team hosted its neighbors from Southern Vil- lage -Governors Club last weekend and pulled out a nar- row 352-327 victory. The Stingray girls out-pointed their rivals 176-166, but the Penguins won the side of the meet 186-151 to make up the difference.

But Wednesday, the Ex- change-Sunset Creek team continued its dual-meet win- ning streak by earning a 359-321 victory at the Tennis Club. The CHTC boys again won their side, 194-146, but i 213-127 margin. Lady Tiger Softball Camp Chapel Hill High School will host a softball camp for girls, ages 6-14 years old, from 8 a.m. to noon, June 27-July 1. The registration fee of $100 includes a camp T-shirt and snacks.

Carrboro, Cedar Ridge, Cha- pel Hill, East Chapel Hill, Or- ange and Northwood all fin- i shed among the top 15 schools in their respective classifications. Carrboro had a very strong spring by getting playoff points in six spring sports and was second in the 2-A cup standings with 615 points. Northwood finished seventh in the 2-A with 302.5 points and Cedar Ridge was eighth with 282.5. Chapel Hill (485 points) wa a ra ge (212.5) was 15th in the 3-A. East Chapel Hill, a five-time winner of the cup, finished fourth in the 4-A standings with 360 points.
