Critical:QualityMe and my mother went the day 5/5/2021 to schedule an appointment and she told us to come the next day 5/6/2021 at 3 pm got there at 3:08, didn’t start on my hair as soon as I got there, and I was in the chair waiting!! She left out and did not even mention anything about her leaving out so I asked where did she go and the co worker said to pick up her daughter. Upon her returning back at 4:15 that’s when she started on my hair. She asked for a picture of what I wanted and expected, nothing like the picture I showed her, and wanted $120! and my mother gave her $100. P.S the owner did it! Critical:QualityMade an appt to get knotless braids. I made my appt here bc my sister had hers done and they were nice. Im going to Cali next week. Lets just say I have like 30 braids in my head and they are spaced faaaar apart. Then i was charged $160 . I cried when I got home. This is the style that I have to deal with on my trip. Smh. I look crazy!

Well I arrived at 10:30 waited a whole hour for the last person to get in and do my hair. Asked them before my hair was started if they had brown and blonde hair they said yeah.. so the woman does the first section in front with blonde which took a hour bc she kept stopping then tells me they don’t have anymore blonde hair.. I told them to forget about it and take it out so next thing you know they go get some more hair then finish within two hours but the parts are completely off & my hair is still visible.. 200 wasted!

Me and my younger daughter who is 17 went in to get braids everyone was busy kate told me to come back in an hr we did and she ready for us both my daughter went first it was fast and very detail oriented. I went next same it was very fast and she made sure I was okay and double checked if i was happy with both of our heads before even taking payment. The price wasn’t bad and I will be going back anytime I want braids and I’m in north Carolina. I would recommend KD and I would say make sure you see kate who seems to be the owners wife.

Just went there and they wouldn’t let me make an appointment. There was one person there and she told me to call the day I wanted my hair done because they might be busy. That’s the whole point of making an appointment!! She was also quick to tell me she doesn’t do what I needed done without even fully understanding what I was saying.

KD African Braiding Salon was better than I expected! I got my two daughters hair done, one with Box Braids & the other with Kinky Twist. All of the braiders where great except one lady named Miya was to focused on speed & left a lot of hair out of the twist, so she had to cut & burn unnecessary hair but over all my daughter’s Kinky Twist came out great. My daughter’s Box Braids where great as well. I would definitely recommend to others.
